Konzag Grains Facility — Great Southern WA
Cast-Tech Group delivered a fully integrated concrete and precast scope for the Konzag Grains facility, combining precision onsite batching with high-performance precast manufacturing across a multi-building agricultural complex.
Onsite Concrete Works
Using our mobile batching system, Cast-Tech supplied and placed N32/14 concrete across all onsite floors and walls — including a workshop floor, chemical shed floor, and a sloped evaporation pond finishing at 800mm deep. All slabs were completed to a mechanical trowel finish, laid on 200um builders film with SL82 mesh reinforcement, saw cuts on grid lines, and edge thickening throughout.
Our in-house team managed excavation, final trim, correct slope formation, formwork, and delivery — a single-contractor solution from start to finish.
Precast Wall Panels
Cast-Tech manufactured, delivered, and installed 150mm thick precast wall panels to the full perimeter of the facility — 69 linear metres at 2.55m high — using a 40MPa concrete mix for maximum durability. All panels were structurally tied into the floor slabs with engineered starter bars.
Service Pit
A custom precast service pit was manufactured and installed, spanning 12.0m in length with a 1.0m internal width and 1.5m effective depth. The pit was fitted with a steel pre-painted ladder, FRP grating stairs at both ends, and a UA150x75x8 steel rail on the lid — built to handle real working conditions.
